From 13:00 on 8th October, a piano recital by Akina Kondo — pianist and Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) — was held on the Ginza Glass View Stage.
A graduate of the University of Tokyo who went on to earn a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from West Virginia University in the United States, Kondo impressed not only with her assured technique and delicate expressiveness, but also with a distinctly eclectic programme selection — the sort of repertoire rarely heard in concert.
