At 15:00 on 8th October, a talk session by biologist Yuichi Kano was held on the Ginza Glass View Stage.
Kano is internationally recognised for his "3D Digital Biological Specimens" project, which digitises biological specimens with a focus on fish. Through his project ffish.asia / floraZia.com, he has produced high-precision 3D specimens of more than 2,000 different creatures and made them publicly available via Sketchfab, garnering strong support from users around the world.
Although delivered remotely, this programme was a rare opportunity to hear a live lecture from Kano himself.
Our company collaborated with Kano and Kyushu Open University in the summer of 2022 on a joint project called "Wow 3D Museum." At the venue too, visitors could be seen enjoying the experience of summoning creatures in augmented reality through Wow 3D Museum stickers and merchandise.
