Label Exhibition Kicks Off in Tokyo

Today marks the opening of the Label Forum, a specialised exhibition for labels, held in Tokyo.

We are showcasing an exclusive preview of our new stickers that connect to smartphones through XPAND Codes and NFC technology. With just a scan of the XPAND Code or a simple NFC tap, visitors can experience augmented reality (AR).

The AR feature on these stickers is part of the "Wow 3D Museum," a virtual museum featuring 3D models of real biological specimens, such as plants and animals, created in collaboration with "ffish.asia," a group known for their work in digital 3D biological displays.

Whether you’re 200 metres away and scanning the XPAND Code, or right up close using NFC, the connection between the physical world and your smartphone is seamless.

For those unable to attend, we’ve included two demonstration videos: one featuring a curling stone sticker and another with an aquarium theme.

Let’s start by scanning the XPAND Code on a sticker featuring a curling stone. Suddenly, a curling stone appears on your phone screen! When activated in AR, a giant curling stone materialises right in front of the exhibition booth.

Next, try our latest dual-link sticker, equipped with both XPAND Code and NFC technology.

By scanning the XPAND Code, you’ll be transported to an AR aquarium.

And by tapping your phone on the NFC mark on the left side of the sticker, the same AR aquarium magically appears!

Whether scanning from a distance or tapping up close, these new stickers offer a versatile connection experience.

The exhibition runs until the 25th, so if you’re visiting Tokyo Big Sight, be sure to stop by Hall 3 in the West Wing at the "Label Pavilion" and try out our innovative products for yourself.
